corn popper madness

isaac loves his corn popper. (gift from uncle jake).

he hasn't quite mastered the push motion, but he can often be seen (and heard) dragging the corn popper all over the house.

the video below is about 50 seconds of him dragging it about the house. if you're waiting for something to happen as a grand finale, you're likely to be disappointed...

I was just listening to a song and had the volume on blast-o-matic... so I heard that popper a bit louder than I should have!!!

They still make those?? Here I was thinking I was safe from that particular toy of my childhood. Great. Just great.

I loathe loud toys. You are such a better mommy than me. I'll let them play in the dirt any day of the week (except Sunday morning for obvious reasons) but if a battery runs out in a loud toy, it goes to the toy graveyard. To be seen and not heard. But that popper thing has no batteries, and thus, I would hear it forever (even when the children are long and gone).
Isaac is such a handsome boy.

here's the thing. when the boy is making noise, i know where he is.

when he's not, i don't know, and it's likely he's getting into trouble. so the cornpopper is very helpful in curbing destructiveness, you see.

and, i don't mind the noise. it's the screeching boy that makes me cringe. how can i make that stop? he's got a range that rivals mariah carey.

I understand. That's the joy of having an older sibling, he tattles all day long.

'Moooooom, Jonathan's playing in the toliet!'
'Moooooom, Jonathan's playing in the trash again.'
'Moooooom, Jonathan's pulling out the thing that makes his room smell good (aka glade plug-in).'

You get the idea. I personally don't like the tattling but it helps me keep tabs on Jonathan's whereabouts.
